QuakeNet T-Shirts!

After much hard work and many heated discussions, QuakeNet is proud to announce it's own on-line shop. There are a wide range of t-shirts etc. available to buy, and we hope they meet your expectations.

The shop can be found at http://www.cafeshops.com/quakenetirc. You should also be aware that the shop is setup to provide 0% profit to QuakeNet and related entities.

For your information, we chose cafepress.com because it was the only company we could find that gave us direct control over the shop, it also didn't require a large upfront expenditure that as a non-profit organisation, QuakeNet cannot pay. Unfortunately this means that the shop is US based, and can only provide white clothing. This is however, still better than nothing! :)

Why no thongs in the male section? :/ btw there should be a cheesy poof section for all the hardcore nerds. Seriously, good work. Personally I won\'t buy because I\'m not a staff member, feels cinda silly to have etc a qnet shirt when your not part of the organisation. Hope it works out well and I can hardly wait untill I see the first cheesy poof wering a qnet shirt :]

Unfortunately, due to quakenet\'s non-profit making nature and other complicated reasons, the best company for us to use was cafepress. BEcause of this, it\'s US based, and it only supports white clothing. It\'s not the best situation, but it\'s better than nothing.

Am I the only one wondering why these bear little resemblance to the original page @ http://www.quakenet.org/tshirts/ ? Not only are the designs completely different, but even the financial aspects are. It was stated that \"the money we raise from t-shirts just helps us buy new servers and hard drives and network card\" - yet now they say they are not getting anything from it? Sounds to me like something major changed along the way and the users weren\'t told about it... Shame...

for #28: when we originally designed the thirts they were going to be 4 colour screen printed tshirts. to do this we needed 1,000 pre-orders - we got 50. Cafepress do a good job for no cost to us.

As Quakenet explained in the post, the t-shirts can\'t be black, because Cafeshops only offer white t-shirts. I must say that the designs on offer aren\'t very appealing though. You could do a full-colour \'Q\', instead of the crappy cop-out you have now :\\. Also, I\'d be more tempted to buy one if Quakenet benefitted from it. Just my two pence.

But buying it in the original shop would make me a poor hungry girl so if I feel like I have to wear such geeky stuff I also will buy one at the copy shop here in Europe.
