After much effort, Q is finally back, with a current database. All channels with Q should be normally functional again now, but new channels or channel moves cannot yet be requested. We're working on this, and will let you know when the Q request system is back online.
However, please note the new Q authentication method, which is designed to minimize chances of Q passwords ending up in the wrong hands. In the a common situation, people have /msg'd Q with their authentication password, before verifying the msg is being sent to QuakeNet. Thus, a random user with the nick Q on another IRC network will gain access to user passwords. The change is already in place, and all users must change their authentication method, including any authentication scripts accordingly. The new format for Q authentication is:
_ /msg Q@cserve.quakenet.org auth username password _
Replace username with your Q authentication name, and password with your Q password. All other Q commands are unaffected.
